Review: Confessions of a Concealaholic by Benefit

I am so in love with Benefit's products! They don't only look good but they're actually quality products. So, I decided to try out Confessions of a Concealaholic by Benefit. Here is what is found inside and the outside of the box.

Here is what the inside of the box looks like with all the products inside.

What's In Concealaholic:

It comes with,
1) "That Gal" a brightening face primer
2) Erase Paste, a brightening camouflage for eyes and face
3) BOI-ING 01/ BOI-ING 02, industrial strength concealer
4) Lemon Aid, color correcting eyelid primer
5) Eye Bright, instant eye brightener

and two concealer brush's (each brush tell's you which one's for which)!

This is the booklet which shows what each concealer does.
As you'll see in the diary-booklet type palette it comes with a variety of different type's of concealers and it tells you in a little booklet found in the box on where each item is to be put on your face.

This is a photo from the front side of the product.

I absolutely love this quote on the box!

But, let's get down to the review.

The Review

I tried each product out. As I said, there is a booklet, where I followed the instructions for applying each product.
I tried "That Gal" , which I put all over my face, the texture was very lovely, but unfortunately it's a little too pink for my complexion which I did not like! So if your like me and have yellowish skin tone, you're not going to like this.

Erase Paste, a concealer which is to be put under your eyes. What a concealer! A little smear of this and literally erases any lines beneath your eyes.

BOI-ING 01/ BOI-ING 02, this is your concealer that hides and blemishes or sudden spots, I applied the BOI-ING 02 on blemishes and it gave a mild cover and removed the redness that was there.

The Lemon Aid, which I already had purchased before seeing it in this palette of concealers works wonders if you have discoloration on your eyelids.

Finally, Eye Bright which I used on the corner of my eyelids is amazing especially if you have no makeup on and need a quick fix for tired eyes.

Overall, I LOVED IT, I would definitely recommend this for people who want to good cover without the appearance of a ton of makeup on their faces!
My rating: 4.5/5

How To Wear: Lipstick colors

Pretty lipsticks. Source: afrobella.com

This is my first post!

Why Lipsticks?

I thought about what to write about first and realized something that many women take for granted in their makeup. The lipstick. There are so many types of lipstick's to choose from especially with all the different brands, from your matte to your satin one's. What's my point? Well...One thing I have always done is before choosing the color of lipstick; I look at my eye makeup and the color of my lips.

The Tips:

1) There has to be CONTRAST!

Makeup for women in Kuwait is very important and they are willing to wake up early to apply it. But, when a dark lipstick and dark eye makeup are put together you'll probably end up looking like a clown! :) So ALWAYS, ALWAYS (yes I'm putting two always because it's that important) keep contrast, light(eyes) with dark(lips) or dark(eyes) with light(lips). This will make any face brighten up and puts emphasizes on either lips or eyes, depending on what you like more!

2) What's your SKIN TONE?

Almost all women have different skin tones. If you have pale skin, bright pastel colors will match your skin. Yellowish skin should go with beige's and darker reds. Pink tones should go with bright colors like red or pink. I say this because every woman MUST have an everyday lipstick to make a quick fix for herself. As for the lipstick its self, it depends if you like a creamy finish or a matte one.

I hope this helps! :D

G
